During the school year kids need extra support to do well in school. Adult volunteers are needed from 3:30-5:30 Monday through Thursday and Saturday mornings 8:45-12:00 to help with homework and enrichment activities. Help out once a week, twice a month, whatever works!

“Working with Angel at Beacon Place has been such an amazing experience. I am continually amazed at his eagerness to learn and willingness to work so hard! I feel like every day I am there I get back more than I give!”    Kevin, adult volunteer since 2016

We recognize that kids ages 12-15 require a more customized approach for personal development and community involvement. Our Tweens and Teens program helps them reach their potential.

Only 5% of the kids in our community meet state standards, but they really want to do better in school and are willing to work hard to improve. Beacon Place provides afterschool homework help and year round tutoring in math, reading, science, and computer coding to kids kindergarten through high school.
