As a neighborhood community center,  we guide and inspire families toward a brighter tomorrow through programs and experiences that meet them where they are, and help them get to where they want to go.

So many children rely on subsidized lunches during the regular school year, but when summer break begins, those school lunches are no longer available. Our lunch program helps to feed hundreds of kids each summer.

Children and families are guaranteed to get their hands dirty in the summer Family Garden Program! Designed to teach gardening and nutrition skills, and allow families to work together to gain the satisfaction of raising their own food to see how their hard work can improve their lives and their communities.

We recognize that kids ages 12-15 require a more customized approach for personal development and community involvement. Our Tweens and Teens program helps them reach their potential.

Only 5% of the kids in our community meet state standards, but they really want to do better in school and are willing to work hard to improve. Beacon Place provides afterschool homework help and year round tutoring in math, reading, science, and computer coding to kids kindergarten through high school.

Strong communities start with strong families. We work to support our moms, dads and caregivers with programs including ESL, health and nutrition, parenting support, civic responsibility and community engagement.
