During the cold months of winter we are so blessed to be able to offer a home like environment to all those who walk through our doors. We welcome our children who continue to work diligently on their homework and desire to master their math facts, read books, share a meal together and develop friendships.

We are thankful to our dedicated volunteers who are truly the key to our ongoing success. Our volunteer program managers continue to work with our community families and believe it or not, we are preparing for the summer months. June through August is our busiest time of the year. We must be ready for the 200+ smiling faces that attend our summer programs. Summer is truly a rough time for our families. Lake County continues to demonstrate a 17.9 % food insecurity for children, rate as reported by the Heartland Alliance Program. How do we make a difference in that number? By finding volunteers to make our summer feeding program a success. We are looking for groups and individuals to help us make a difference.
