Beacon Place Parents – Giving back is second nature

How many organizations have you been a part of where 20% of the people do 80% of the work? Well at Beacon Place, we have flipped that paradigm and have more than 80% of our parents, volunteering regularly to help deliver our programs! During spring break alone, more than ½ of the adult volunteers that led the activities came from the local community. We ask, and they deliver.
In fact, a recent parent directory was created by Rosa Vara, our Community Liaison, and includes contact information and a short description of the special talents our community of parents wants to share back. Included in this amazing group are parents who are plumbers and electricians, landscapers and house cleaners, ready to help out with our facility repairs; cashiers, auto mechanics, construction workers, nurses and more. All of whom want to help out in any way that they can.
