Throughout the summer, Beacon Place likes to offer special activities to its children, and relies on the generosity of local businesses to help pay for those events. In July, RED Communications LLC sponsored a face-painting tent and petting zoo in honor of Shirley Dillon, who passed away last September and is mother of RED Communications LLC President Catherine Driscoll.

“It was such fun to bring this experience to the children of Beacon Place,” stated Driscoll. “My mom was a lifelong volunteer and advocate for at-risk children, so this was the perfect way to honor her on her birthday.”

With funding from RED, Beacon Place coordinated with Patch 22 to bring baby donkeys, ducks, goats, bunnies and several squealing piglets to delight the children of Beacon Place.
